BREAD BHAJIYA RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices
  • 1/2 cup gram flour(besan)
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3 tbsp potatoes finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water or as needed
  • Oil as required for deep frying

Instructions

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Take the bread slices in a bowl and tear the bread into very very small pieces.
  • Repeat the process for all the bread slices.
  • Then add besan and rice flour.
  • Add finely chopped potato, onion, tomato, green chilli, and coriander leaves.
  • Now add salt to taste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder.
  • Also add lemon juice and tomato ketchup.
  • Mix all together with a spoon.
  • Then sprinkle water little by little.
  • Knead it like dough with hands so that all the bread pieces should get mashed.
  • The bread mixture is ready to fry.
  • Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadai on medium heat.
  • When oil gets heated, reduce the heat to low to medium and drop spoonfuls of the mixture in hot oil using your fingers.
  • Fry the bhajiyas in small batches. The bhajiyas will take about 2 to 3 minutes to cook.
  • Fry both sides until it turns crispy and light golden brown on all sides.
  • Remove it from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with a paper napkin.
  • Deep fry remaining bread bhajiyas in same way.
  • Serve bread bhajiyas hot or warm with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
