Even people having these bread candied balls will not be able to make out that these are just made with bread and milk. Don’t believe us! Try making this instant Bread Candied Balls recipe following our easy step-by-step recipe.

An easy alternative to rasgulla recipe which is prepared by bread. Bread Candied Balls can be easily served as a dessert or perhaps can be prepared for festivals like Diwali and Christmas.

Ingredients
  

  • 6  slices  White/Brown Bread
  • 1  cup  Milk
  • 50  gms Sugar
  • 5  tbsp  Dessicated Coconut
  • 1/4  tsp  Pure Desi Ghee
  • 1  pinch  Food colour red yellow,green

Instructions
 

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Firstly, cut the edge of the bread with the help of a knife, and remove it.
  • Break the bread into the mixer jar and crumble it. Clamp whole bread. It looks like breadcrumbs. Keep it aside.
  • Further, take a pan add milk and bring the milk to a boil on medium flame.
  • When the milk begins to boil, adjust the flame to low heat. Pour the breadcrumbs in a stream with one hand and constantly stir in the milk with the other hand. This is done to prevent any lumps.
  • Mix it continuously to avoid lumps. Cook it for a minute on low flame.
  • Add 2 tbsp dessicated coconut and again continue to cook and stir the mixture till it dries.
  • Now add 1/4 tsp ghee and mix it. You will see that the mixture automatically binds together and starts leaving the pan.
  • Keep stirring to prevent burning at the bottom. Turn off the flame and keep it aside so that it is little cool down.
  • Take a vessel for syrup, add sugar and 3 tbsp of water and put it on the gas. Let the syrup be cooked until the sugar dissolves.
  • Here you can use leftover sugar syrup also.
  • If you are using leftover sugar syrup , in the same vessel pour 2 tbsp water and then add leftover sugar syrup. Cook it for a minute.
  • Now the mixture is slightly cool and the heat is tolerable to you, its ready to use.
  • Grease your hands with some ghee and pinch small mixture from the dough and roll into round shape.
  • Likewise prepare all the bread balls.
  • Then drop these balls to the prepared syrup.
  • Keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes. With this the bread balls will soak the syrup and will turn sweet.
  • After 15 mins, take remaining desiccated coconut in a flat plate and sugar syrup dip with balls.
  • Now remove the balls from the syrup and coat the balls in desiccated coconut powder evenly and all over.
  • Dust the excess desiccated coconut and place it in the plate.
  • Repeat doing this for all the bread balls and place them on a plate.
  • Finally, bread candy balls are ready to serve.
  • Serve this mouth-drooling and super delicious bread candy as a dessert and relish eating.

recipes Notes:

  1. You can serve these bread candy as lollipop by inserting the toothpick in the balls.
  2. These tantalizing bread candy balls keep good for 4 to 5 days if stored in a refrigerator.
  3. If you do not have desiccated coconut, then you can also use powdered sugar.
  4. Here I have used colored sugar syrup, you can prepare without using color also.
  5. Adding colors to bread candy balls is optional, but it is preferable to add different colors since it looks more attractive.

Thanks for amazing article on Rasgulla I heard and saw many rasgulla recipe but never saw like this its kind new thing for me HAHHA

I will be trying this in upcoming weekend because I have invited some guests in my
home so it will be better to serve them this amazing recipe

but can you please clear my one question that is it possible to use
persian saffron in it ? or not ? IF yes ! then how much , Yesterday I bought it in good saffron price then market

yes, you can use saffron in it. First, take 1 tbsp of warm milk and add few strands of saffron in it. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes then add this saffron milk in the prepared bread mixture. Then mix it really well until the saffron milk and bread mixture combined well. Like this prepared color balls from bread mixture. No need to add color to the sugar syrup, prepare without color n add prepared color balls in the sugar syrup and let it soak for 15-20 minutes and then coat with desiccated coconut. There is another method also, you can also add powdered sugar in prepared bread mixture and mix it really well and then add saffron milk and again mix it well. Then make small balls from the mixture and coat them with desiccated coconut. If using this method, you don’t have to prepare sugar syrup it also consumes less time.
