  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Take 1 cup of water in a kadai or pan.
  • Add salt and a pinch of hing.
  • Bring the water to a boil on medium flame.
  • Once the water comes to a boil, keeping the flame on low start adding rava slowly, stirring continuously with other hand.
  • This helps to prevent from any lumps formation and rava absorbs water.
  • Stir constantly and let it cook on low flame until it turns thick and dense in consistency.
  • Then add mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chillies, and coriander leaves.
  • Mix it very well so that mixture combines well.
  • After this turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down.

  • When the oil becomes medium hot, place the few tikka bites in the oil.
  • Shallow fry them on a medium flame.
  • When the base is golden then flip the tikkas. Be gentle when flipping as these are light and can break. Use a spoon or butter knife when flipping.
  • Fry the second side also till crisp and golden.
  • Fry till they become golden brown in color from both sides .
  • Turn over a couple of times for even frying.
  • Then place the tikka bites which are fried and done on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • Pan fry the rest of the tikka bites as well.
  • Serve cheesy tikka bites hot or warm with coriander chutney, tomato ketchup, and red chilli sauce.

Notes

  • You can skip green chilies if you want.
  • Less oil can also be added if you want
  • Do add less salt as cheese also has some salt in it. Later after mixing you can always add more salt if required.
  • Without pan-frying these tikka bites can be stored in the fridge for 10-15 days. Whenever required bring then out and pan-fry.
  • You can also add a pinch of black pepper instead of green chilies.
  • Use 1:2 ratio of rava and water to cook rava, if you add more water then suji mixture will be too soft and absorb oil.
