CHUTNEY WALE ALOO CHAAT
Ingredients
for green chutney :
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves washed and roughly chopped
- 10-12 green chillies
- 1 tbsp curd or yogurt
for aloo chaat :
- 6 medium size potato boiled & peeled
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp black salt
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp chat masala
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sweet chutney
- oil for deep frying
Instructions
preparing the green chutney :
- Collect all the required ingredients.
- Add coriander leaves, green chilli, and curd in a blender.
- Grind it to make a smooth paste. You can add little water instead of curd while grinding this chutney.
- Transfer it to a bowl and keep the green chutney aside.
frying the aloo :
- Chop the boil and peel potatoes in equal pieces.
- Transfer the chopped potato pieces in a bowl and add cornstarch. No need to add water.
- Toss them well in such a way that all the potato pieces coat well with the cornstarch.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium-high heat.
- Drop the potatoes pieces one by one in hot oil.
- Do not overcrowd the kadai.
- Stir continuously and fry till the potato pieces turn crispy and golden brown on medium flame.
- Once it has done, take out the potatoes from the hot oil.
- Put them into a bowl. No need to drain the fried potatoes on absorbent kitchen paper, otherwise they turn tender fast.
making chutney aloo chaat :
- Take fried potatoes in a large bowl so you have enough room to mix.
- Add salt, black salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, and chat masala.
- Toss them well.
- Then add prepared green chutney and sweet chutney.
- Also, add lemon juice.
- Mix everything together nicely to combine. Serve it to a serving bowl.
- Serve this delicious, hot and spicy chutney wale aloo chaat immediately.

- To make it healthier you can also bake the potatoes.
- You can increase or decrease the
amount of green chilies as per taste. - Adding curd gives a nice light green color to the chutney.
