Ingredients
  

  • 100 gm  Green chillies
  • 2 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Dry mango powder
  • 1/4 tsp Tumeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/8 tsp  Asafoetida / Hing powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice optional

Instructions
 

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Wash them thoroughly with water and then pat dry them.
  • Slit them from the center to separate the two parts but keep the stem intact to hold it together.(if the chilies are small in size then just prick them 2-3 times and can use them whole).
  • Place a kadai on flame and heat the oil into it.
  • When oil gets heated,  lower the flame and add the green chilies.
  • Mix well for a minute.
  • Add all the spices except lemon juice.
  • Saute to mix everything really well. Keep the flame on low.
  • Cover and cook for a minute so the spices get cooked.
  • After 1 minute, remove the lid. Green chillies have turned tender but they are still crunchy.
  • Stir fried green chillies are now ready.
  • Lastly, add lemon juice and turn off the flame.
  • Mix well and transfer it to a serving bowl.
  • Serve this tempting and spicy green chilly fry hot as a side assortment with any meal and relish eating.

how to make hari mirch fry (Step by step directions with photos):

1. Collect all the required ingredients.

2. Wash them thoroughly with water and then pat dry them.

  • Hari Mirch fry stays well for 3-4 days at room temperature and for 10 days in the refrigerator.
  • You can also use cooking oil instead of mustard oil.
  • You can make green chilies even by cutting them into small pieces.
