No Bread Sandwich Recipe with step by step photos and video recipe – is a unique recipe for a sandwich without actually using bread. The main ingredient of this recipe is semolina or sooji and your favourite veggies. If you have run out of bread at home, you can make this recipe and enjoy the sandwich that you wish to have without actually using bread.

We all love sandwiches for breakfast. Even if we stuff the breads with everything healthy, your sandwich may still be fraught with fats from cheese or mayonnaise, which may not be too good for your weight loss diet. No Bread Sandwich is an easy breakfast as well as snack recipe for all as we can prepare it very easily without much effort if you have bread with you, but here I am showing you how we can prepare sandwich easily even if you don’t have bread with you.

Yes, you can prepare sandwich without bread. Here I am using a sooji batter for making this sandwich. It is very easy to make sooji batter. You just need sooji and curd for making sooji batter.

How To Make No Bread Sandwich (Step By Step Instruction With Photos) :

preparing the batter :

1. Collect all the required ingredients.

2. In a bowl, take rava and curd.

3. Now add salt, black pepper powder, mixed herbs, and chilli flakes.

4. Mix it well using a whisk. 

5. Add  ½ cup water.

6. Mix well. It should be remembered to whisk the curd nicely and thoroughly to avoid having lumps in it.

7. The batter should be smooth and lump free.

8. Then add finely chopped onion, carrot, capsicum, and boiled sweet corn.

9. Also, add chopped green chilli and coriander leaves. If you are making this for kids skip green chilli because we have already add chilli flakes.

10. Mix well forming a thick batter.

11. Cover it and allow the batter to rest for 20 minutes or or until the rava absorbs water.

greasing sandwich maker :

1. Meanwhile, grease the sandwich maker with some butter on both the sides.

2. Cut the cheese slice into 4 pieces using a knife or pizza cutter.

3. After 20 minutes, suji will absorb much of the water and will become very soft.

4. If required, add ¼ cup water.

5. Mix well forming a smooth batter, not too-thick and not too-thin batter. 

6. Just before preparing a sandwich, add ½ tsp eno fruit salt.

7. Stir gently to mix the fruit salt. The fruit salt should be mixed evenly with the batter or else you get uneven texture in the sandwiches.

8. The batter would froth and become bubbly, so you have to be quick.

1. Once the batter turns frothy, transfer drop a spoonful of sandwich batter to the sandwich maker.

2. Place a cheese slice on the top of batter. Make sure the cheese slice is the size of the sandwich.

3. Pour some batter making sure it is uniformly covered or till the brim. 

4. Now close the lid of the sandwich maker and press tight.

5. Keep checking while you are turning the toaster. Let it toast for 8 minutes in the toaster. It may take more minutes than bread sandwiches.

6. Grill until the sandwich turns golden brown and is cooked evenly.

7. Once done, take out on a serving plate and cut into slices.

8. Serve no bread sandwich with tomato sauce or green chutney. You can also top it with butter and grated cheese and then serve.

  • Make sure to prepare the slightly thick batter, else the batter will overflow in the sandwich maker.
  • Add vegetables of your choice to make sandwich nutritious.
  • I have used electric sandwich maker but if you are gas sandwich maker then cook both the sides.
