Pan Pizza Recipe

Pan pizza recipe is an easy and quick method to make pizza without oven by using a pan or a tawa. Not everyone has an oven at home. So using this recipe you can easily make pizza without an oven at home.

Pizza on tawa or pan takes very less time to cook and you should keep an eye on the bottom part of the pizza while cooking it as you do want to get it burnt. We want nice crispy pizza with some brown spots. Pizza should be cooked only on low heat otherwise it will burn from outside.

This pan pizza is so crispy, hearty and delicious. Whenever you are craving for pizza next time try this pan pizza or tawa pizza.

PAN PIZZA RECIPE

Pan pizza recipe is an easy and quick method to make pizza without oven by using a pan or a tawa.

Ingredients

  • 1 readymade pizza base
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • Few slices of chopped onion
  • Few slices of chopped tomato
  • Few slices of chopped capsicum
  • Pizza sauce as required
  • Salt as required
  • Butter as required
  • 1/2 tsp oreagano
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp pizza seasoning

Instructions

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Heat a pan with 1/2 tsp butter in it.
  • Once the butter melts, put the readymade pizza base in the pan.
  • Roast it slightly with the side that you are going to use for adding toppings, facing the heat. (This means first roast the top side of pizza, then add toppings and then roast it from another side. This way the top side of pizza too will get a crunchy texture).
  • Let the base cook for a minute or till you see light brown spots on the downside on low flame. Flip it over.
  • Top with 3 tsp pizza sauce.
  • Spread the pizza sauce on this cooked side of the pizza.
  • Place the onions, tomatoes, capsicum in such a way that it covers the whole pizza. You can increase or decrease vegetables according to your taste.
  • Then sprinkle a little bit of salt, oregano, chilli flakes and pizza seasoning.
  • Spread grated pizza cheese or mozzarella cheese. you can add cheese as required.
  • Cover the lid and cook it on low flame till cheese melted and the base becomes slightly crisp.
  • It will take around 5-7 minutes to get ready in a pan depends upon the thickness and quality of the pan.
  • Once the cheese starts to melt, check the base by carefully lifting the pizza with a flat/wooden spatula.
  • Once done, turn off the flame.
  • Take out the pizza from the pan and transfer it to a plate.
  • Sprinkle some oregano, chilli flakes, and pizza seasoning.
  • Slice pan pizza and your pan pizza is ready.
  • Serve pan pizza hot or warm with tomato ketchup.

How To Make Pan Pizza (Step By Step Instructions With Pictures) :

Recipe Notes :

  • I have used homemade pizza sauce but you can also use ready made pizza pasta sauce which is easily available in the market. 
  • Cook on low flame to prevent the base from burning.
  • Top with vegetables of your choice to make it more appetizing.
  • Make sure you cook in low flame after the topping is added as the bottom may get burnt.
  • You can also arrange the topping after removing the pizza base from the pan if you are taking much time.
  • You can even add any other vegetable of your choice.
  • Do use a thick bottomed pan (nonstick or cast iron) for making the pizza. If the pan is thin and light, then the base can get burned.
  • You can also use a tawa for preparing the pizza.
