These sliders are yummy and full of flavor. The pan fried patties adds to the taste and gives a different texture as well. These sliders are just perfect as a small snack.

You can give these sliders to your kids for lunch time as they are less messy to eat. Also they make for a quick and tasty breakfast with a cup of masala chai. You can also enjoy them companion with your favourite drink during a match.

Pav bhaji is one of the most mouth-watering Indian street food. Bhaji is essentially a mix vegetable preparation with a texture like that of chunky gravy.

It is spicy and tangy and is loaded with oodles of butter on the top. This scrumptious preparation is served with pav which is again roasted in butter and sometimes a sprinkle of masala and green coriander.

Pav Bhaji Sliders Recipe

Pav Bhaji Sliders Recipe is pav buns stuffed with leftover bhaji patties, mayonnaise dressing and tomato, and onion slices.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup leftover pav bhaji
  • ½ cup potato boiled, mashed & peeled
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 3 tbsp eggless mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3-4 pav buns
  • ¼ cup cheese grated or cheese slice
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 1 small tomato thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying patties
  • 2 tsp butter for toasting the pav

Instructions

making the patties :

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • I have used leftover pav bhaji of previous day for this sliders.
  • In a bowl, add leftover bhaji and boiled potatoes.
  • Now add chopped green chilli and coriander leaves.
  • Then add half of the breadcrumbs.
  • Mix it well.
  • Add rest of the breadcrumbs.
  • Mix everything very well. Don’t make a smooth and pasty mixture. It should be a slightly chunky mixture.
  • Check the taste and add more salt or the spice powders if required. I have not added any because bhaji has all the spices included.
  • Grease hands with oil and start making patties from the mixture.
  • Shape the entire mixture into a round patties.
  • The mixture makes 4 regular medium sized patties.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil for frying the patties on tawa.
  • When the oil becomes medium hot, place the prepared patties.
  • Depending on the size of your tawa, you can fry from 2 to 4 patties.
  • When the base is lightly browned or browned, then flip the patties. Add more oil if required.
  • Flip a couple of times more and fry all the patties till they are evenly golden and crisp from all sides.
  • Drain the patties on kitchen paper towels to remove excess oil.

preparing mayonnaise dressing :

  • Take 3 tbsp mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl.
  • Add 1 tbsp tomato ketchup.
  • Whisk the dressing very well. Keep aside.

assembing pav bhaji sliders :

  • On the same tawa, add 1 tsp butter.
  • Slice the pav in equal halves.
  • Place the havled pav buns on the tawa. The buttered side should become lightly crisp and golden.
  • Spread some butter on top of each pav.
  • Now turn over the pav and toast another side also. It will take around 30 seconds for each side to turn light brown.
  • Remove it in a plate.
  • Now spread the mayonnaise dressing on the crisp side.
  • Place the patty.
  • Top up with sliced veggies like onion and tomato slice.
  • Then top up with some grated cheese. You can also use cheese slice.
  • Cover with the other half on top of each.
  • Secure with a toothpick and the pav bhaji slider is ready.
  • Serve these delicious Pav Bhaji Sliders immediately with some tomato ketchup or mayonnaise dip.

How To Make Pav Bhaji Sliders (Step By Step Instructions With Photos) :

making the patties :
