Roti Pizza Recipe, gets ready in just 10 minutes. Today we are going to make crispy, thin crust pizza that too with the leftover chapattis. This roti pizza turns out so perfectly that no will believe that it is made of regular chapatti. This roti pizza can be prepared with the fresh chapatti also.

Roti pizza is no compromise on the taste factor, which can be served as a tea time snack or can be served at breakfast. However, packing it in a lunch box may not be a great idea, as it might get stale. The super thin base of the roti is able to take the load of the topping well, make it a bit crisp.

This roti pizza is baked on a pan or tava so you do not need any oven for this. It is an ideal pizza recipe which can be prepared on tawa or pan and without an oven.

ROTI PIZZA RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 2 roti / chapati

  • Homemade pizza sauce as required
  • Few capsicum sliced
  • Few onion sliced
  • 1 tbsp boiled sweet corn
  • Cheese spread as required
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp chilli flakes
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • Butter as required

Instructions

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Heat tawa and spread some butter on it.
  • Place the roti and roll it on the butter.
  • Keep the flame to its lowest or else the roti can get too much browned or burnt from the bottom.
  • Once the roti is lightly toasted, smear some butter on top side.
  • Then flip it and switch off the flame.
  • Now take some cheese spread and spread all over the roti.
  • Then spread the homemade pizza sauce/ spread over it in a very thin layer. Do not apply too much of pizza sauce as it will make the pizza soggy.
  • Spread some grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with some chopped capsicum, onion, and boiled sweet corn.
  • Spread the veggies, such that it covers the whole chapathi.
  • Again spread a layer of grated cheese over it. The quantity of cheese can be increased or decreased according to your taste.
  • Turn on the flame and cover it with a lid.
  • Cook it on low flame till cheese melts completely and roti become slightly crisp.
  • Once the cheese melts, switch off the flame and take off the lid.
  • Then sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes.
  • Transfer to serving plate and use pizza cutter to cut into wedges.
  • Serve it immediately hot.

Notes

  • Use leftover roti to get a crispy crust.
  • Cook on low flame to prevent roti from burning.
  • Top with vegetables of your choice to make it more appetising.
  • Roti pizza recipe can be considered as a healthy alternative to veg pizza.
  • You can either cut the bell pepper and onion lengthwise or finely chop them.
  • Variety and quantity of vegetables is completely up to your liking.
  • Here I have taken both the mozzarella and cheese spread because they both together give very good cheese texture, but you can easily replace it with simple mozzarella also.
  • The quantity of vegetables, cheese, herbs and seasonings depends on your personal liking and the size of the chapatti.

1. Collect all the required ingredients.
