Vegetable Crustless Pizza Recipe

vegetable crustless pizza is a healthy vegetable recipe, with no crust pizza recipe will remind you of a pizza-nacho lovechild in the most delicious and divine way possible! Believe it or not, it tastes more or less like the pizza which we make using the dough. In fact, you could add any filing as you like.

You need just ten minutes of prep time to throw together an easy vegetable crustless pizza. It doesn’t get much faster than that. You can even assemble it in advance to save more time. The superstar of this dish is cheese—everything else is optional and totally up to you. Some people might say that vegetable crustless pizza isn’t really pizza. 

That may be true, but you still get all the flavors you love about it. Sometimes that’s more than enough for me, especially when you are in a hurry. Making a meal is so much faster and easier when you only have to make one thing!

Vegetable Crustless Pizza Recipe

Ingredients
  

for the crust less base:

  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehu ka atta)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1/2 tbsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 tbsp crushed dry mint leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

for topping:

  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp capsicum chopped
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • Few drops of oil

extras:

  • 1/4 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed dry mint leaves

Instructions
 

making the crustless base:

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, maida, salt, 1/2 tbsp crushed dry mint leaves, 1/2 tbsp chili flakes, 1/4 tbsp grated cheese.
  • Mix it until well combined.
  • Pour 3/4 cup of milk little by little in the dry ingredients and make a smooth batter.
  • With a wired whisk begin to mix everything. If the batter looks thick, then add 1 to 3 tbsp more milk. Depending on the quality and texture of flours, an addition of milk will be more or less.
  • Mix to a smooth owing consistency in the batter and break lumps if any while mixing batter.
  • Now pour 1 tbsp oil in the matter and again mix it gently for a minute. 
  • The batter to make pizza is now ready.
  • Put the non-stick pan on the stove and heat few drops of oil on it to make the pan greasy.
  • Let the pan become medium hot. Then take a ladle full of the batter and pour on the pan.
  • Gently with the back of the ladle, begin to spread the batter.
  • Spread lightly and gently so that the pizza does not break.
  • Cook the pizza till the top begins to look cooked and continue to cook till the base gets light golden.  It will take 2-3 minutes.
  • Now flip it with the help of a spatula and then turn the flame on low.

  • Spread 2 tbsp tomato ketchup all over the pizza.
  • Then spread some grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Top with finely chopped veggies like onion, capsicum and spread all over the pizza.
  • Now add a generous amount of cheese of it.
  • Cover it up and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese melts on low flame.
  • After 2-3 minutes your pizza should be ready, so turn off the flame and sprinkle crushed dry mints leaves and chili flakes.
  • Take it out in a plate and using a pizza cutter cut it in slices.
  • Vegetable Crustless pizza is ready to eat now. Serve hot.

recipe notes :

  • Spread the batter on the pan only when it is properly heated because if the pan is not fully heated the batter may stick to it.
  • On high flame, the pizza base will blacken very soon without getting properly cooked.
  • If you want the base to be more firm then just add more of the all-purpose flour and rice flour and reduce the whole wheat flour by the same amount.
  • You can choose any vegetable of your choice.
  • Cheese quantity depends upon how much cheesy pizza you want.
  • Instead of dry mints leaves you can use oregano and mixed herbs also.
