Tomato Cheese Sandwich recipe is a delicious and easy-to-cook sandwich recipe, prepared with white bread, tomato, cheese slice, black pepper, and mixed herbs which you can make for brunch or as snack.

  • 4 bread slices
  • 6-7 tomato thinly sliced (2 medium)
  • 2 cheese slice or grated cheese
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder
  • Soft butter as required


  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Take a clean board or clean dry surface and place bread slices on it.
  • Spread a generous amount of butter evenly on both bread slices.
  • Then place 3 to 4 slices of tomatoes over the buttered bread.
  • Now place the cheese slice over the tomato slices.
  • Sprinkle some black pepper powder, oregano, and chilli flakes.
  • Cover with the second buttered bread slice and press them with light hands.
  • Smear softened butter on top of the bread slices.
  • Place the tomato cheese sandwich carefully with the buttered side facing down.
  • Press down on the sandwich with the back of a flat spatula to press the sandwich together.
  • When the bottom bread is grilled well, then spread some butter on top side which is facing you.
  • With a spatula turn over the sandwich. You will see the crisp and grilled side facing you.
  • Toast on a low to medium heat on both the sides until the cheese begins to melt.
  • Flip a couple of times till the tomato cheese sandwich is crisp and golden.
  • When you see the cheese melting, switch off the flame.
  • Remove the grilled sandwich and cut the bread into the half or into desired size and shape.
  • Serve the tomato cheese sandwich hot or warm with tomato ketchup or any dip.
