Churmur Chaat Recipe is a crunchy, crispy, tangy, sweet & savory snack/appetizer that is one of the most popular roadside street food in Kolkata.
Chaat, Evening Snack
Mixing Bowl (1.5 Litre)
small size potato boiled and peeled
onion finely chopped
boiled black chana
green chillies chopped
coriander leaves finely chopped
roasted cumin powder
red chilli powder
Regular salt to taste
Collect all the required ingredients.
Take a bowl and roughly chop the boiled potatoes.
Now add finely chopped onions and boiled black chana.
Then add chopped green chilli and coriander leaves.
Add spice powders like- salt, black salt, red chilli powder, and roasted cumin powder.
Mix until everything is evenly combined. Use a light hand so that you don’t mash the potatoes.
After this pour tamarind pulp, green chutney, and lemon juice.
Just before serving, crush gol gappas between the palms of your hand and add to the bowl.
Mix lightly. We want them to remain chunky.
Place it on a paper bowl just like the roadside phuchkawala.
Sprinkle some sev and coriander leaves. Your churmur is now ready.
Serve immediately as the wet ingredients will turn the crushed phuchkas/ gol gappas soggy.
