Paneer Bhurji Recipe

Paneer Bhurji is a quick, delicious and one of the best paneer dishes of scrambled Indian cottage cheese sautéed in spicy tangy tomato onion masala and spices. It is a perfect dinner dish ready in flat 15 minutes.

This is a delightfully spicy paneer dish that can be served as an accompaniment or side dish in Indian dinner and it’s simply irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Paneer (cottage cheese), crumbled or grated
  • 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato finely chopped
  • 2 green chilli chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

Instructions

  • Collect all the required ingredients.
  • Heat oil or ghee in pan or kadai.
  • Once the oil or ghee heats up, add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle.
  • Add chopped onions.
  • Fry for 3-4 minutes until onions are translucent or soft.
  • Then add garlic-ginger paste and green chilies.
  • Saute for a minute or until the raw smell of ginger-garlic goes off.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes.
  • Saute till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  • Lower the flame and then add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala.
  • Roast the spices on low flame for a minute.
  • Add crumbled paneer and lemon juice.
  • Mix and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally in between to prevent sticking.
  • Do not overcook or paneer will become chewy.
  • Add coriander leaves.
  • Mix gently, making sure everything is combined well.
  • Turn off the flame and transfer prepared paneer bhurji to a serving bowl.
  • Serve paneer bhurji hot with roti or paratha.

How To Make Paneer Bhurji (Step By Step Instructions With Photos) :

1. Collect all the required ingredients.
